FPV Video Scrambler & Descrambler Module – Secure Your FPV Video Transmission

Upgrade Your FPV Security – Scramble Your Video Your Way
Ensure your FPV video feeds remain private and secure with our advanced FPV Video Scrambler (Transmitter TX) and Descrambler (Receiver RX) modules. Ideal for drone pilots, FPV enthusiasts, and professional UAV operators, these modules prevent unauthorized access to your video streams, giving you total control over who sees your footage.

Key Features

  • Customizable Scrambling & Descrambling: Transmitter and receiver modules are identical. Users can define scrambling or descrambling roles using our CVBS Scrambling Assistant software.
  • Lightweight & Compact Design: Only 4 grams per module, dimensions: 35 × 20 mm – easy to integrate into any FPV setup.
  • Pair Use for Maximum Security: One module at the FPV transmitter, one at the receiver, configurable to meet your security requirements (e.g., 10 scrambling modules and 1 descrambler on the ground).
  • Analog-to-Digital Video Encryption: Converts CVBS analog signals to digital via FPGA, scrambles the video, then converts back to standard CVBS for transmission.
  • Low Latency: Adds only 0.1–1 ms of delay, maintaining smooth, real-time FPV video performance.
  • Broad Compatibility: Works with all analog FPV video transmitters (1.2–1.3 GHz, 5.8 GHz, etc.) – no restrictions on frequency or VTX/VRX brand.
  • User-Friendly Software Interface: Easily configure scrambling sequences, encryption codes, and module roles via USB-to-TTL connection with our CVBS Scrambling Assistant.
  • Flexible Power Supply: Supports 5–12V, with 12V recommended for optimal performance.

How It Works

Video Encryption Principle:

  1. CVBS video is captured and converted to digital (AD conversion).
  2. FPGA encrypts and scrambles the video signal.
  3. Digital-to-analog (DA) conversion outputs a standard CVBS video for the transmitter.

Video Decryption Principle:

  1. CVBS video received by the module is converted to digital.
  2. FPGA descrambles the video signal.
  3. DA conversion outputs a standard CVBS video for the display.

Hardware & Software Connection

  • Transmitter TX Connection: Connect module between FPV camera and video transmitter.
  • Receiver RX Connection: Connect module between video receiver and display monitor.
  • USB-to-TTL Tool: Easily connect to PC to configure scrambling sequences and module settings.

Troubleshooting & Adjustment

  • Adjust resistors on the module for video amplitude corrections if needed.
  • Detailed guidance and step-by-step support included in the CVBS Scrambling Assistant software.

Packaging & Customization

  • MOQ & OEM:
    • 500 pcs: PCB color and post-welding can be customized.
    • 5,000 pcs: PCBA structure can be modified.
    • 15,000 pcs: Encryption algorithm fully customizable for maximum security.
  • Package of 500 pcs: One carton, size 39 × 31 × 23 cm, 4.5 kg.

Optional Enhancements

  • Consider pairing with a COFDM digital video transmitter & receiver with AES128 encryption for advanced digital security.
  • Compatible with other analog video transmitters for versatile FPV setups.

    • Example: 10 scramblers on drones, 1 descrambler on the ground.
  2. Scrambling Sequence & Algorithm:
    • Scrambling patterns, sequences, and “seed” codes can be set per user preference.
    • For large OEM orders (>15,000 pcs), the encryption algorithm itself can be fully customized for maximum security.
  3. PCB Color & Appearance:
    • PCB color, silkscreen, and post-soldering options can be customized for branding purposes (MOQ > 500 pcs).
  4. PCBA Structure & Components:
    • For larger orders (>5,000 pcs), internal PCBA layout or component selection can be adjusted to suit customer requirements.
  5. Voltage & Power Configuration:
    • Modules can be adapted to specific voltage ranges (5–12V) based on client needs or drone power systems.
  6. Hardware Footprint & Packaging:
    • Module size or connectors can be adjusted for specialized drone or FPV setups.
    • Bulk packaging options, labeling, and shipping carton design can be customized.
  7. Optional Features & Integrations:
    • Modules can be paired with COFDM digital transmitters, AES128 encryption, or other video systems according to customer requirements.
    • Additional hardware modifications, such as resistors or pins, can be pre-set for specific camera or transmitter configurations.

From software-defined scrambling sequences to PCB design, module roles, and large-scale encryption algorithm customization, this FPV Video Scrambler & Descrambler is highly flexible and can be tailored to meet professional UAV, FPV racing, or security-oriented video transmission needs.
